Race Details

Uoorn are apparently sentient patches of giant mushrooms capable of telepathic communication. While they looks like they're bound to the ground, they can produce/grow fully functional spaceship for purpose of expanding their territory and defense, called spore ship and warrior ship, respectively. Spore ships are rarely produced while warrior ships are known to be stored in some number per patches of Uoorn and can be quickly deployed when in danger.

Though, despite their fungi-like appearance they are not fungi and do not feed of bodies of the dead but instead they claim to feed on minerals in the ground and the heat at the core of the planet.

Appearance

Uoorn are usually seen as a forest of giant mushrooms most having white or creme color.

Society

While Uoorn can communicate telepathically they are known to have range limitation of a few hundred meters away from the edge of their cluster, or at least that's the range they can effectively communicate with other race.

Technology

Uoorn are often found using physical, chemical or plasma(unimplemented) weapons. They utilize unrecognized Anti-gravity and propulsion technology.

Uoorn FTL technology is limited to Hyperdrive.

Factions

Uoorn may have sub-specie with some variation from the original, though there's no confirmed report of one yet.
