Sessions

In order to understand these feature requests, it is recommended that you are familiar with what a session is first.

Music services

Apple Music

Adding Apple Music support is feasible.

Apple Music is not currently supported due to a lack of engineering resources.

SoundCloud

Adding SoundCloud support is not currently feasible.

SoundCloud is no longer accepting new developers to access their playback API.

Queue management

Intervals

Looping

Allow the user to loop an interval. For example, loop the hook 3 times. This feature may apply to all service providers.

Stem seperation

Allow the user to isolate certain stems. For example, mute the drums or mute everything but the guitar. This feature may only apply to manual uploads.

Live streaming

Allow a user to live stream their session. Live streaming is not currently supported due to a lack of engineering resources.

Personal feed

Only display personal comments on a live session. This would be useful in the case where group of musicians are playing together. On individual devices, people can view their notes live as they are playing their music.

Sounds

Sounds is a feature proposal that would allow a user to create and loop music from inside Jukebox Radio.

  • Sounds would work in tandem with live-streaming - a user could build a beat live.
  • Sounds would be collaborative - two users could collaborate on a beat from 2 different computers.
  • Sounds would be able to take microphone input - and apply filters to it.
  • Sounds would be able to take MIDI input.

Lights

Lights is a feature proposal that would allow a user to sync smart lights with their music.

  • Lights would work in tandem with live-streaming - a user could build control lights live.
  • Lights would be collaborative - two users could collaborate and keep 2 houses smart lights in sync at the same time.
  • Lights would be adaptive and accommodating - a light setup would work with anywhere from 3 to 30+ lights.
  • Lights would be able to take MIDI input - and map to light controls.
