Content Guidelines
This page explains how content is rated and tagged on this wiki. While Brumweald is written with a general audience in mind (13+), some pages contain mature or sensitive topics that may not be suitable for all readers. These guidelines help readers identify such content and navigate the wiki safely.
General Rating Policy
Most pages are suitable for readers aged 13 and up. Themes such as fantasy violence, cultural conflict, death, and reproductive biology may appear, but are typically presented in a thoughtful, non-explicit manner and will contain a content warning. When a page includes darker or more mature material, it will be tagged accordingly. These sections and pages will include a brief in-page content note above the relevant material when appropriate, and all links to the page within this wiki will include tags denoting what content they include. However, tags are not guaranteed to be up to date.
Link Tags
๐ Full-Page Mature Content
Used when the entire page exceeds the general 13+ rating due to themes such as:
- Graphic descriptions of violence, reproduction, or parasitism
- Explicit or semi-explicit sexual content
- Disturbing biological or cultural practices
โ ๏ธ Partial Mature Content
Used when only sections of the page contain mature topics. These are typically:
- Isolated mentions of sexual reproduction or transmission
- Descriptions of parasitic or invasive biological processes
- Discussions of cultural taboos, discrimination, or systemic violence
Tag Accuracy & Limitations
This wiki is a work in progress. While every effort is made to ensure accurate tagging, some older or recently edited pages may temporarily lack complete or up-to-date content warnings.
Reporting Missing Tags
If you encounter a page that you believe should have a content warning or link tag but doesn't, please report it via Discord ๐. Feedback is always appreciated and helps improve the experience for others.
Other Tags & Navigation
This page only covers content-related tags. For a full list of link symbolsโincluding license info (๐ ง), non-reusable content (๐), external links (๐), and translation status (๐), see the Link Tag Key in the Sidebar, the Licensing & Attribution page, or the Translations page.
Content Philosophy
Mature topics are handled with care and are presented in the context of cultural, biological, or magical systems. These warnings are not intended as censorship but as tools to help readers make informed choices. The intent is always to inform, not to shock, and to tell stories that are immersive, thoughtful, and respectful of varied comfort levels.
