Trading and Investing Strategies
DCA
Dollar Cost Averaging
- In my experience, effective for building positions in long-term holds
- In my experience, effective in swing trading
Algo Trading
Defining an algorithm and letting it trade
HODL
Buy and hold
- The most effective in my experience, if I'd just held the coins I was day-trading in 2020 I'd be in a much different position today.
- If possible, stake and earn rewards
Allocation Categories, Percentages and Re-balancing
I would like to set up and invest according to a defined framework, but my attention wanes, and new projects are always on the horizon, making this difficult.
How many ways can one allocate? Here are a few I've considered:
- Allocations by Strategy
- Sub-allocations by coin/project
Example:
- Trading - 10% ** Day ** Swing ** Hedge ** Yolo
- HODL - 50% ** Coin 1 ** Coin 2 ** etc..
- New Opportunities - 20% ** DEX's ** NFTs ** etc..
- Building bags/positions - 10% ** Project 1 ** Project 2 **
- Overall Hedging - 10%
