This is in need of updating....
Volunteers are needed to ensure WxT CodeFest 2.0 is a big success. Please answer the call and sign up for one or more of the important volunteer roles below. The intention is to create a schedule to spread out the work so volunteers have time to participate in the many collaborative activities.
Recommended format:
Name (GitHub: GitHub handle, Twitter: Twitter handle) - Department/Company (Location)
- Assembling booths
- Setting up signs
- Arranging tables and chairs
- Testing wi-fi
- Laila Martin (GitHub: @LailaMartin, Twitter: @pr1ncesslaila) - Royal Canadian Mounted Police (Ottawa, Ontario)
- Solange Sari (GitHub: @ssari, Twitter: @solange_sari) - Independent Developer (Ottawa, Ontario)
- Greet and register attendees
- Keeping the Activities Page up-to-date
- Assisting participants with configuring and troubleshooting their laptops and mobile devices
- Assisting participants with using Git and GitHub
- Helping people to get involved with collaborative activities at WxT CodeFest
- Assisting a collaborative activity by:
- Managing the activity's chat room and Twitter conversations, including communicating and responding on behalf of the activity lead (as needed)
- Assisting remote and local participants with collaborating on the activity
- Take pictures / video of the event (including video of the collaborative activities)
