With the enormous success of WxT CodeFest and the WET Discovery Days there has been a lot of demand for more community-focused events and learning opportunities for WET. To help address these needs, a community group for WET is being established to not only give the community a voice but also to help ensure that both WET and future WET events meet the community's needs.

Some possible goals of the WET Community Group could be:

• learn more about WET (including organizing guest speakers)
• share common experiences, tips and tricks for WET
• discuss WET issues and possible solutions
• help plan future WET-related events such as the next CodeFest, Discovery Day or Showcase (to ensure they meet community needs)

We have scheduled a kick-off meeting on Thursday October 18 to discuss community expectations and possible goals for the WET Community Group. Please join us to help strengthen the WET community and to take an active role in the future of WET.
