Rule 0: The Golden Rule has many formulations. I like this one: That which is hateful to you, do not do unto others.
The point of the game is to have fun together. If there’s not enough fun or not enough together, then we should work together to fix it. Aggregate group enjoyment is my measure of success.
The decisions of the DM are final. I don’t want to pull rank, but if push comes to shove, I expect that the authority of the DM will be respected.
If there is a rule that is not working for us, then we can change it or throw it out, as long as enough of us agree.
If something is going wrong, do not suffer in silence! Speak up about it. There is a whisper function if you don’t want to speak up in front of all the players.
Know when you’re in-character, and know when you’re out-of-character. If we can’t tell, then make it clear.
Don’t take it personally when (not if!) a lucky or unlucky die roll has a large negative effect on your character.
There is no one right way to play this game. Some may like the acting and storytelling, others the combat, others the numbers and mechanics. Please respect the other players’ preferences.
Know your character and their abilities well.
Pay attention to the game. I don’t like repeating myself very much 😀
Keep language PG. If you or your character must swear, please provide your own [BLEEP] noises or other creative substitutions.
I will consider juvenile attention spans when choosing whether to continue or stop a session.
