Introduction:

I really think this is a great oportunity in order to improve my programming skills in Python. I´m interested in the Poliastro project about Interactive Orbit Visualization in 3D because that would be a way to expand my knowledge in both fields, python and orbits. Besides, with graphic representation is easier to understand how our solar system works. The main goal of this project is to create a widget that can plot interactive 3D line plots, with the ability to rotate the perspective.

Experience:

I´ve been doing some projects in Python using Jupyter Notebooks such as evaluating the actuations of a Turbojet and representing and plotting all the data. Also I´ve used the pyplot module to represent an aerodinamic profile and its panels. Actually I´m working on a project that consist in analyze three engines, a turbofan, a turbojet and a turboprop and decide which are the flight conditions that are the best in each case.

Timeline:

• Week 1/2: Do some research about the topic and the existing libraries, start testing the 3D visualization.
• Week 3: Start the project, code.
• Week 4: Fix the possible bugs
• Week 5/10: Develop the Interactive part of the visualization
• Week 11/12: Test and fix the final bugs.
