• Michael provided an overview of MDS 2.0. It will support new modes: passenger services (taxi/TNC), delivery robots, and carshare.

• Review of kitchen appliance analogy for MDS. MDS contains base information, and can have attachments that allow for different modes, and support different policies/programs.

• Ongoing public work for over a year with 13 working group meetings and requests for these features going back to 2018.

• Mode information includes the definition of trip attributes, fare attributes, vehicle attributes, and the state machine applicable to each mode.

• Review of MDS 2.0 Modes work in PR #801
