This document describes the Parrot platform from a user perspective, and guides you through the steps of installing Parrot and creating your first systems.

Parrot is a platform that will (eventually) let you simulate a large number of connected devices in order to test your ideas and code for the next generation of the internet – the Internet of Things.

Most users would likely work through the step-by-step tutorials, and then proceed to consult the topic guides. The step-by-step tutorials are short, approximately 15 minutes each, and should give you a firm base when moving on to implement your own system, tailored to your particular needs and interests.

If you are short on time, or not interested in emulated devices, tutorials 2, 3, and 4 can be skipped.
