Syncing Activities & Pois from TIC Web to Open Data Hub

In the source TIC Web there are no "District" or "Municipality", there are only "Areas" (find the LTS Area List here: http://service.suedtirol.info/Common/AreaList)

An Activity/Poi can have one or more Areas associated.

In the first place Activities/Pois have been inserted by local tourism associations or other organizzations (TV/TVB/others, for example "Eggental" has been a Tourismusverband).

On setting up Open Data Hub, there has been constructed a first mapping between those "Areas" and those TV Regions. So Open Data Hub has now a mapping between Area and original TV Region.

Now on the sync the system looks at this mapping table when the sync for an Activity/Poi is done

• If there is only one "Area" assigned, this is rather easy and the mapping is clear.
• If there are more than one "Areas" assigned, the system simply takes the first one in the mapping

For each Activity/Poi which is inserted in ODH Activities Pois for the first time, there is an automatic calculation of the "District", looking at the GPS point. The calculation is done via linear distance from the GPS point. This is obviously a big source for errors, so the editors had to check and activate them manually one by one for suedtirol.info.

Hands on: If in "General" tab the "District" is empty, have a look at the "Location" tab and see which "Municipality" has been set. The "District" is set, automatically, derived from the "Municipality". It might occur that this particular "District" cannot be found in the current "Tourismusorganization" set.

So you may verify and set this information manually.
