TableInfo: biosample_from_subject.tsv - nih-cfde/published-documentation GitHub Wiki

Association between a biosample and its source subject

If populated, biosample_from_subject.tsv will contain one row for every biosample linked to a subject from which it was taken.

All fields are required: this table can be empty (header-row only), but any non-header rows must leave no fields blank.

Some examples:

  • If you don't have any biosamples associated with source subjects, this table should be left empty.
  • If you have exactly one biosample taken from each of your subjects, this table will have the same number of rows as subject.tsv
  • If you have five biosamples taken from each subject, this table will have five times as many rows as subject.tsv
