Run the Joule Setup Booster

Target users: SAP administrators

Overview

The SAP Joule Booster is an automated tool that guides administrators through the technical setup to connect Joule, SAP's AI assistant, with your business systems like SAP S/4HANA or SAP SuccessFactors. Using this tool helps you quickly enable Joule so employees can start asking questions about company data using simple, natural language.

Prerequisites

• You need administrator access to your SAP BTP subaccount
• Ensure your target SAP systems (like SAP S/4HANA Cloud) are running and accessible
• Have your system connection details ready

Steps to Run the Booster

1. Access the Booster Tool

   • Log in to the SAP BTP Cockpit
   • Navigate to your subaccount
   • Open the Boosters section

2. Select and Start the Booster

   • Find the "Enable Joule" booster
   • Click Start to begin the setup process

3. Follow the Guided Configuration

   • Complete each step as prompted by the system
   • Provide required system information when asked
   • Review the configuration summary

4. Complete the Setup

   • Click Finish to execute the configuration
   • Wait for the booster to complete the automated setup

What to Expect After Completion

• Your SAP systems are now connected to Joule
• You can start asking Joule questions about your business data
• The booster has configured all necessary technical settings automatically

Important Note: Configuration changes may take some time to become fully active across all systems.
