Previous: Character Creation and Progression Next: Utility Abilities By Art

New characters select a Utility Archetype Trait and a Combat Archetype Trait. Upon reaching Level 5, characters may select again. In the case of Utility Archetypes, choosing the same Archetype again adds the bonus again. In the case of Combat Archetypes, characters may either gain the Base Trait of a second Archetype, or may gain the Upgraded Trait from their existing one.

Utility Archetype Traits

The Hero

Gain +1 POW. Gain +1 to your Struction, Athletics, and Leadership Training Level

The Artist

Gain +1 FIN. Gain +1 to your Craft, Stealth and Influence Training Level

The Sage

Gain +1 REA. Gain +1 to your Research, Problem-Solving and Reconnaissance Training Level

Combat Archetypes

The Loomer

Gain +1 END. Spaces orthogonally adjacent to you are Difficult Terrain for your enemies
Upgrade: Gain +1 END. Extend the effect to diagonally adjacent spaces as well

The Weaver

Gain +1 REF. Ignore the first effect from terrain or an ability that would reduce your Movement on each of your turns
Upgrade: Gain +1 REF. You ignore all effects that would reduce your Movement on your turn

The Quill

Gain +1 FOC. You have +1 on Defense Rolls when the Attacker is 3 or more spaces away
Upgrade: Gain +1 FOC. Increase the bonus to +2
