Flavour - diversus-me/blossom GitHub Wiki

When a user links two pieces of information together, he gives this link a quality. He characterises the link. Since we organise DIVERSUS as a metaphor of nature and the information appears as flowers and petals, we call this quality between two pieces of information Flavour.

This Flavour is of elementary importance for the whole system. This is exactly where Dialectical Emergence begins to take effect. When two pieces of information collide, at least a third, if not a whole firework of new information is created. This is not only the case in the particle accelerator in Cern, but also in the heads of people who are confronted with two colliding pieces of information.

A whole cosmos of possible new information, new knowledge, new ideas emerges between two pieces of information. The more contradictory the two pieces of information are, the greater the creative tension and the more stimulating they are for their consumers.

The flavour opens the door to this process, it stimulates thought formation, it inspires. The flavour can be composed of different smells. Each user can add his own flavour to an information relationship. Two pieces of information can thus be connected by an infinite number of different flavors. Just like on a flower meadow, the flowers with their complex odours are usually particularly interesting.
