My collection menu - devemux86/cruiser GitHub Wiki
[!IMPORTANT] The large panel/tile buttons on the app screens as shown in the following images are no longer available in the current version of the Cruiser app. However, the functions are still present and should work as explained here, only the screenshots need to be updated.
Cruiser provides you with a helpful management of favorites (POI), routes and tracks - to be found in the [ Main ] > [ “My collection” ] menu.
The “My collection” menu contains four tiles, the first of which allows you to directly add a new favorite (POI). The remaining three tiles take you to the three main sections:
- Favorites
- Routes
- Tracks
Add favorite
When clicking on the [ “Add favorite” ] tile [1], a crosshair is displayed - centered on the currently visible map section - which allows you to select the exact location of the new favorite to be added.
Move the map until the crosshair is at the desired location. When done, the location is added as a new favorite by clicking the “checkmark” button [2] on the screen.
After that, a name [3], a description [4] and the desired favorite group [5] can be defined. If you don't add any information, the location's coordinates are used as the favorite's name and the first of your favorite groups is selected by default.
After the favorite is stored, it can be shown on the map [6] with its name and description, as well as the defined icon and color of the selected group.
[!TIP] You can easily add your current location as a favorite to "My collection" also during navigation or in follow mode: simply tap the compass and click the [ "Add favorite" ] tile!_
By doing this, your current location is directly saved - with date & time as its name - to the very first of your favorite groups. The favorite can then be edited (renamed, sorted in a more suitable group, etc.) when your ride is finished.
Favorites
Clicking on the [ “Favorites” ] tile [7] opens your collection of favorites (POI).
Favorites can be organised in any number of groups, whereby the “Default” group as well as the group for "No-go areas" are already available after a new installation of Cruiser.
