(near)-real time support's cropped up in conversations with Glasgow, with a possible idea of store (datastore) and stream, thence using websockets to live-plot graphs/update tables.

I haven't looked in detail, but presume this is mostly focused on the datastore. Would be nice to support http://dataprotocols.org/sleep/ for both datastore and metadata generally.
