Software Elicitation Notes

• Training Peaks and Strava are similar applications to our project.
• Features required based on customer needs:
  • Personal profiles
  • Pages for sharing posts for the coaches and users
  • Ability to post on these pages (e.g., coaching events, personal training logs, community events)
  • Followers, likes, comments, saving posts, and undoing likes
  • Notifications from followed or responded posts

Notifications

• Pop-up notifications for followed users
• Mobile notifications for app interactions, web-based notification tab
• Goal-oriented email notifications
• Lead emails for inactive users

Leaderboard, Scores, and Ranges

• People can create and join challenges, completing them will put you on leaderboard
• Challenges (running, cycling, swimming, rowing, skiing, climbing)
  • Completion time-based ranking
  • Distance covered ranking (daily/monthly/yearly)

Goals

• App-defined goals and achievement badges
• Maybe personalized versions of them
• Rewards based on the progress
• Fixed workout programs (e.g., run 3 times a week, workout 4 times a week, lose %1 weight weekly)

Rewards

• Users can upload their own profile pictures
• Cover photos can include badge rewards
• Users can send gifts to each other as a sign of goodwill
• Store page for rewards
• Post types with selectable styles

Interactive Directory

• Needs consultation with the advisor
• Possible filtering feature

Forum

• No verification needed for mentors
• Coaches must upload proof of their status during sign-up
• Users can follow posts they comment on and receive notifications
• Users can visit profiles of people tagged in posts
• Option to show people participating in the same event within a post (Must be discussed further)
• Support for 10-second videos and images
• Users do not need to post together
• Tags can be added to posts

User-Mentor Interaction

• Users can send requests to mentors
• A direct messaging feature between users and mentors (Nice to have), maybe direct users to other channels by communication info.
• Inactive users can receive a deletion warning after 5 months via email, deletion at the 6th month if no action is taken
