Plugin Management

If you want to view the framework plugins that are installed in your authoring tool instance, head to Plugin management (found in the top menu). Here, you can view the details of any installed plugins, enable or disable them for use in other courses, and check for any available updates.

you'll see a list of all the installed plugins along with some useful information about each. For ease-of-use, the plugins have been grouped into their respective plugin types: component, extension, theme, and menu.

Installing custom plugins

Note: you must be logged in with a Super Admin account to install any custom plugins.

By default, the authoring tool installs all core plugins found in the core bundle, but that doesn't mean you can't expand the toolkit by finding and installing your own.

To install a custom plugin, simply click the Upload Plugin button, and select the plugin zip file on your computer. You can find new plugins to download using Adapt's Plugin Browser. To get a plugin zip file, follow the 'Plugin homepage' link to the plugin's GitHub page then select the green 'Clone or download' button then 'Download ZIP'.

Make sure that the plugin you're attempting to install is authoring tool-compatible: check that it has a properties.schema file in the plugin folders' root.
