This page contains an overview of how the interface between EPICs and Acquaman is conducted. EPICs is a detailed and complex system, and so this page does not attempt to provide a comprehensive introduction to its usage and structure.
There are several aspects to interfacing with EPICs, so not all of the following information may be relevant to a given task (for instance connecting to PVs which already exist will not require the setup of a softIoc).
