Mechanisms

In order to design and make automata it is important to understand how different mechanisms work. No matter how complex a machine may be, it will still be based on simple mechanical principles. All automata make use of one or more mechanisms. You can make just about any machine or automata with 6 simple machines, either using one or a combination of them. A popular and fun example is the Rube Goldberg machine.
