Cavalry Stables produce the superior horses that are needed to train horsemen for more advanced kinds of units. They include training yards where superior horsemanship can be taught to the men, and the horses schooled to face the noise and terror of battle (something that does not come naturally to them). Some stables also include facilities for handling larger war beasts, such as elephants.
This building can be upgraded further when the settlement grows.
