Towns and Nations (Towny) - Stoneskies/Stoneskies GitHub Wiki
Stoneskies uses a plugin known as Towny, this plugin allows players to create towns and nations in a sort of geopolitical atmosphere. If you want to learn more about the plugin, check out their github wiki and their spigot page
Towns cost 100 Gold to make, new players automatically start out with /startergold
which gives them 100 gold from the start. Once created, you have to deposit gold into your town bank, as there's daily upkeep of 2 Gold for towns.
Towns can claim chunks, and the chunk in which you made your town automatically becomes a claimed chunk, to claim other chunks use /t claim
. Town claims cost 1 Gold each, in addition, there's a limit to how many chunks you can claim with a town. That limit is defined by the number of residents you have and/or how big the nation you're in is. Inviting people to your town is as simple as doing /t invite <name>
. You can join nations if they invite you or if they are open, you can check if any nations are open using /n list
, small tangent but you can use /n toggle public
to make your nation public.
You can assign your residents roles using /t rank add <name> <role>
, the different town roles you can give them are Comayor
, Assistant
, Helper
, Sheriff
.
Co-mayors can do everything a mayor can, including changing the mayor himself. This is a dangerous rank to grant, so make sure you trust the person you grant this role to.
Assistants can claim land, give out plots, and invite people. They can also edit blocks inside claimed plots.
Helpers can invite people to your town.
Sheriffs can send residents to jail (See https://www.supernoobs.net/wiki/jail/), outlaw people, and kick residents.
Creating a nation currently costs 250 Gold, and similarly to towns, make sure to deposit gold into your bank, as nations have a 10 Gold upkeep.
Nations can grow peacefully, by inviting towns using /n invite <town>
, or through sieges (see Siege War). A larger resident count in your nation increases the claim bonus all towns receive and gives you a higher ranking on /n list
. In addition, towns can join you without an invite if you make your nation public (/n toggle public
)
You can assign roles to people in your nation, much the same way you do with towns.
Cokings have all the same permissions a King has, similarly to towns, this is a dangerous role to grant, as they can change the king themselves.
Assistants can invite towns, ally and enemy other nations, and deposit gold to towns in the nation.
