Introduction

Welcome to this wiki, documenting the infrastructure and procedures implemented in the scope of the Network and Systems Administration class. We are Group 11 : CARMO SILVEIRINHA Tiago, HERTMANS Mathéo, STAS Justin

Naming Convention

All devices are named under the format lllldddd

• l : lowercase letter (a-z)

• d : digit (0-9)

• First three letters : Device role (e.g. hypervisor -> hyp, firewall node -> fwn)

• Fourth letter : Infrastructure section (e.g. student -> s, underlying infrastructure -> u)

• First two numbers : Group ID (11 in our case)

• Last two numbers : Serial ID (incremental identifier, starting from 01 and up)

For example, the machine named hyps1102 refers to student group 11's second hypervisor.

State of the infrastructure

This diagram represents the infrastructure by the end of Lab 01. It will be updated as we progress onto the further labs, though a copy will still be available in the dedicated lab documentation page.
