Motor and battery sizing

1.Motor Sizing---

·         Mass=2.0kg

·         Diameter =66mm    radius=33mm=0.033m

·         Coefficient of friction between rubber and dry concrete =0.85

·         g=9.8m/s^2

·         Force=coefficient of friction*m*g

                F=16.66N

·         Torque=F*r

T=0.549Nm

T=5.46kg cm

Total torque=FOS*T

Total torque=1.5*T

Total torque=8.25kg cm

Therefore we choose motor of  100rpm at 12V.

 

Servo motor has a torque of 1.2kg cm

Voltage=4.8volts

Operating voltage=3.0-7.2 V

Stall current=650mA

2.Battery sizing

FOS of 4 motors = 1.2*1.2 Ampere,

FOS of 4 motors = 1.44 Ampere.

 

Total current with FOS is 1.89A at 12V

So we select adapter of 2A at 12V.
