Props are additional objects visible to PC users, typically off by default.

  • Never scale props: Exclude props from avatar scaling, so they'll retain their default size if you scale the avatar up or down. Useful if you're deploying the props for interacting with other people.
  • Never hide deployed props: Exclude props from shader invisibility toggles, so you can be invisible but have the props visible.

Sword

The sword can be hand held or carried floating over the avatar's back, similar to the videogame.

When carried on the back, the sword can be grabbed by closing your right hand over the handle.

Interactions

  • If sparks are turned on, there will be a visual and audible effect when the sword's blade intersects with other people's head, torso, hands and feet (but not your own).

  • The sword's blade has a contact sender that other avatars or worlds can use to interact with it. Its tags are: Sword, Blade, Weapon, Damage, Hit, Strike, Cut, Slash.

  • The sword can be used to pop the head of other instances of this avatar, as long as the user has Interactions enabled.

Slash effect

If this toggle is enabled, you can slice sharply with the sword to produce a visual and audible slashing effect. Even if you don't have VR, this can also be triggered by animations.

You can switch to heavier slashes by changing your right hand gesture to Finger pointing. This gesture is not affected by other toggles.

Steak

This prop is a slab of meat. Yum!

It can be hand held or dropped in world space. When it's in world space, anyone (not just you) can drag it around by grabbing it .

VR only VR only
When holding the steak in your right hand, close and open it to automatically drop it into world space. Close your hand over the steak in world space to pick it up temporarily.

Interactions

  • The steak will disappear when it touches anyone's head (to simulate being eaten). Supported contact tags: Head, Mouth, Maw, Gullet. The steak's decorations will disappear when it approaches someone's head.

  • The steak has a contact sender that other avatars or worlds can use to interact with it. Its tags are: Food, Eat, Edible, Yummy, Beef, Meat, Steak.

  • This avatar will open its mouth wide when approaching a steak and then chew audibly when it's eaten. See Interactions for more information.

Lucklight

This prop is an animated pet that follows you around. It can also fly around independently or be dragged around by others!

  • In Following mode, it will move when you move (but can still be positioned relative to you).
  • In In world mode, it will stay where it is even when you move (but it can be repositioned manually).

Use the Color slider to change the follower's color scheme.

The Camera in follower toggle will move the avatar camera to the follower, allowing you to use it as a simple drone or CCTV system See Camera system for more information.

The Actions menu contains a number of flight animations that control the follower much like Actions control the main avatar. While being controlled by an Action, the follower can't be manually repositioned. However, the follower will still move to stay with you if it's in Following mode.

When controlled by the Random action, the follower's position may show differently for different users.

Interactions

The follower has a contact sender that other avatars or worlds can use to interact with it. Its tags are: Follower, Pet, Bug, Lucklight.
