Clothes - Protected/BetterBennett GitHub Wiki
All granular Outfit-related settings can be found in this menu tree.
Note: Toggling certain items of clothing may automatically toggle other, connected items of clothing on or off. For example, toggling the shirt off will toggle the chest ties off. Toggling the chest ties on will toggle the shirt back on.
Base Outfit
Choose one of the six base Outfit texture atlases. The Outfit determines the colors of the shirt and other parts of the avatar in both PC and Android modes. In Android mode, the color of the shorts and other customizable clothes are also tied to the Outfit, since they can't be recolored separately.
Preset colors
This toggle determines whether changing the outfit should reset customizable colors to match the colors of the new outfit:
- ON: Reset all customizable colors to match the new outfit (you can customize them again after);
- OFF: Do not reset customizable colors; change only the base outfit.
| In Android mode, it's recommended that you leave this ON unless you know what you're doing. You won't see any difference youself, but if you toggle it off, PC users may see different colors from the ones you see. If you keep it on, colors will match. |
Upper body
Toggle items of clothing in the head and torso region.
Arms
Toggle items of clothing in the arms and hands region.
Bandage
Change the bandage in the avatar's upper arm or turn it off. In certain modes on PC, it may not be possible to change the bandage, only to turn it on and off.
On Android, bandage recolors are never available, but PC users will still see them if you toggle them.
Legs
Control items of clothing in the legs and feet region.
Fine-grained recolors
In this menu, you can recolor the pants, accent and socks of the avatar for PC users. The pants lightness can also be adjusted using the global Rainbow adjustment setting.
Android users will not see these changes.
Backside
Control the avatar's satchel and scroll. Due to capacity constraints, these are not available for Android users.
Stencils
Changes (or turns off) the pictures displayed in the character's pants using a contrasting color. There are 14 stencils available for PC users, including complementary ones for the rear and sides! Changing the Pants color (or the Rainbow adjustment) will also affect the color of the stencils.
On Android, the stencils are not configurable and are instead determined by the Base Outfit.
Vision
Change (or turn off) the jewel hanging beside the character's hips. On PC, all 7 elements are available. The jewel uses a parallax effect and is affected by AudioLink. On Android, only the original texture is available, and the the only visible change will be turning it off.
| When Greyscale is enabled, the Vision supports both Greyscale and non-Greyscale modes. If the Vision is enabled before Greyscale, you can freely change between all modes while retaining greyscale. If you want to override greyscale for the Vision, turn the Vision off completely, wait a moment, then turn it back on. |
Game team color
Temporarily replaces the socks, sleeves and shirt bands with a fully emissive (visible in the dark), fully saturated color. Use this feature to identify yourself as part of your team during team-based games. Select the same color again to turn the feature off.
