Hardware MHI2

ℹ️ FW can be flashed between all markets, with obvious limitations to hardware (e.g. Sirius will not work in EU, DAB not in the US).

Even though MHI2 units are used by various VAG brands and run slightly different versions of software with the main differente being the GUI. The hardware itself is absolut identical.

2x SD card slots are standard, the SIM card tray in the middle is optional.
Same goes for DAB as an option on EU market.
US market does have SIRIUS based radio.

MHI2Q

AUDI has so called MHI2Q units for some of their car models: A4-A5-Q5-Q7
They are widely based on the MHI2 hardware and also build by HARMAN.
ℹ️ Fully supported by M.I.B

HARMAN

Most of the units are directly built by HARMAN.

Label on Harman MIB2 looks like this: image
PN and other numbers are related to brand, car model and FW version.

AISIN

In ASIA - KT, TW, JP, CN most if not all units are built by AISIN.
Which is not a problem, as they are 1:1 identical hardware and compatible.
EU/US FW can be flashed on them with a slight modification of NAND partitions.

Label on AISIN units is much smaller and differs quite a bit from Harman:
