User Story

The user is able to play an easy to access explorative platformer. While he plays, parts of the Captain Holetooth world and its inhabitants are revealed. The user will relax during the game and is not punished in any way. He is competing against other users and is eager to find all the hidden candy to unlock more stories.

Story

  • Captain Holetooth is exploring a new part of his world
  • Unfortunately, he crashes into a mountain, loses a wing, his ship, and all the candy!
  • He falls into a lake and doesn'T get hurt
  • (Gameplay starts here) Now he is looking for his ship
  • He finds his ship and returns to his friends in the castle
  • The castle is a place to look around and play minigames (the one with the marble)

Game rules / limitations

  • There is a fixed amount of candy in the world
  • You have to reach the castle before you can return to other levels
  • The collected candy give a summary ranking / scoring at the end of the game
  • There is hidden treasure that reveals characters in other places, candy or information
  • You are not punished for anything
  • Game is for younger audience, no gory content or similar allowed
  • Reaching places can be achieved through using the environment
  • Funny details are everywhere (younger players pay attention to these things)
  • Total playtime is about 20 minutes
  • When you have reached the castle, you are free to play the levels again

Technical stuff

  • Only edit in the latest stable release of Godot engine
  • Game is strictly 2D (for now)
  • Ratio 16:9
  • Resolution: 512px x 288px

Target platforms

  • Mac, Windows, Linux, Android
  • everything else that is easy to compile with Godot ;)
