If you want to rename a car, there are two places to do it.

One is to rename all the decompiled files (eg .mod etc.), a simple way to do this is to use the vrcarrenamer.exe file.

The other portion is within the game itself, you need to use a hex editor on carname1.tab to modify the game name.
