Puzzle 3: Security Pins (and Bananas) - Headlesser/PasswordsPleasev2 GitHub Wiki

This is the second security question puzzle.

Planned Progression

  1. Player will find 3 pieces of a banana that can be clicked on and added to the inventory. These pieces are located throughout the room.
    • While this puzzle does not explicitly utilize any technological means of inputting a password or pin key, the intention is to attempt to draw the player's mind towards the idea of what sorts of words or phrases they might use as a password. Using something meaningful to you that other people might very easily know or figure out is not a secure option. This differs from puzzle 2 in that that puzzle was more focused on the idea of physically locking away your passwords into some sort of container or box.
    • When the player gets the last piece, the entire banana is put together and is reflected in the inventory bar. Wolfrid can then place the banana figure on an altar which reveals the 'name' of the stuffed toy.

Puzzle 3

  1. Question 2: What was the name of your favorite childhood stuffed toy?
  2. The player explores the room. They are able to find one third of the stuffed toy out in the open, easily accessible by clicking on it.
    • The piece of the toy is found on a shelf of office supplies.
    • The player knows this is part of the toy, Wolfrid hints to them that the toy is broken and must be repaired to figure out what it is.
    • There is a strange 'altar' in the room with a blocked name plate that says 'my favorite toy'. The toy must be placed here, completely repaired, to reveal the name.
  3. The player finds the second piece of the toy in the garbage can near the desk.
  4. The player finds the third piece of the toy sitting near the altar, insinuating that the toy must be placed there once repaired.
  5. The player picks up the third piece of the toy (in no defined order) and all three combine together automatically, forming the shape of a banana. 'Banana' is not the password, however. The player must place the toy on the altar to reveal the name.
    • After placing the banana, the nameplate lights up and reveals the toy's name.
    • The answer to question 2 is 'Banamaba'.
  6. Player enters the phrase Banamaba into the computer, security question 2 is completed.
