Design Question: Does the gun reforestation mechanic create a cathartic, soothing experience?

  • there's an initial surprise in seeing the trees plop out. unexpected from a gun but very fun calming yes nature is calming, as well as the process of walking around in an empty space, reinhabiting a ghost town?

  1. Does the use of a realistic gun and gun sounds make the experience feel violent/disruptive to the planting experience, or is the irony a positive element?
  • I guess I prefer more fantasy look for this game
  • It does feel out of place. However, if the goal was more of a commentary or a humoristic view, it would make sense.
  • yeah its cool. maybe a gun that looks like it supports the fantasy a bit more?

  1. Is it more satisfying to have the plants "plant" themselves as immovable objects, or for the plants to continue having rigidbody characteristics after landing (bouncing, rolling, etc.)?
