Registrar Portal Version 3.1.0

A feature and bug fix release

  • We have addressed the issue of the expiry dates being dependent on the status of the underlying financial transactions. The expiry dates are now updated only when the period is changed by renewals or cancellations. This addresses the issue on the "Known Issues" listed identified as #9902

  • We observed that the export facility in our PowerBI integration, displaying reports to the registrars, did not work. This has now been fixed and it should be possible to export directly from the intergration

  • We have adjusted the business rules in relation to editing registrants under registrar management, so this is now possible via EPP and the registrar portal (RP) as the proxy role. This addresses the issue on the "Known Issues" list, identified as #9944

  • For the same feature (above) we have disabled the notification from Punktum dk A/S to the registrant, any necessary communication is expected handled by the registrar

  • We have improved the authorization token format. The format and feature has been added to the RP service specifcation version 3.1. Do note the implementation is backwards compatible so already issued and active authorizations are still supported

  • We have disabled the ability to do a change of registrant to the existing registrant, so an error message is displayed instead

  • Unlinking of WHOIS handles from a registrar account is now handled as a background process, so the operation does not time out

  • We have improved the implementation of the integration with background workers, so this is more stable

  • Correction to TLD handling where some TLDs where not recognized

  • In addition some GUI and text adjustments to explicitly clarify the use of the term 'transfer'

Registrar Portal Version 3.0.6

This is a minor bug fix release, it addresses:

  • Accept of role would sometimes result in an database error, the operation would succeed, but the communication to the use would fail

  • The status of cancelled for a domain name was missing as a search criteria, it has now been added

Registrar Portal Version 3.0.5

This is a minor bug fix release, it addresses:

  • An issue where accept of name server roles would time out and fail. This is listed on the "Known Issues" as #9776

  • Issues in regard to risk assessment, where requests for ID-control would be generated, when not deemed necessary

  • Issue with filtering on periods in the WHOIS search used in the Registrar Portal has been fixed

  • Manual renewals for registrar managed domain names no longer send an email to the registrant

  • UI text change, where the use of the word transfer could be confusing, due to it's previous use for owner change

  • UI text change to receipt for process for becoming billing contact

  • UI improvement to status indication in domain listing

Registrar Portal Version 3.0.4

This in a minor bug fix release

  • In the Registrar portal archived account transactions showed nothing if start or end dates for the query are changed, this has now been addressed

Registrar Portal Version 3.0.3

This is an major bug fix release

  • It addresses the issue with lacking ability to enable 2FA (2-factor authentication) for both single users and on policy level for the registrar account

Registrar Portal Version 3.0.2

This is a minor maintenance release

  • Removing obsolete email address and fax number from website footer and other relevant places

Registrar Portal Version 3.0.1

This is a minor bug fix release, with primarily language and text corrections

  • The text explanation in regard to glue records was not correct and too strict
  • The listing products would contain Danish, this has been corrected to English, since RP only supports English
  • The error message for the PowerBI integration was emitted in Danish, this has been corrected to English, since RP only supports English

Registrar Portal Version 3.0.0

This major release primarily introduces support for registrar/registrant management model.

Secondarily the release introduces a new process for changing name servers for a domain name registered with the Punktum dk registry.

More specific details are listed below.

  • The domain name registration/application form has been extended with the ability to specify management model, it can be overridden per application, else it will use the default set for the registrar account (see below). See the RP Service Specification

  • The domain name registration/application form has been extended with the ability to specify renewal policy, it can be overridden per application, else it will use the default set for the registrar account (see below). See the RP Service Specification

  • The registrar can specify the default management model for domain name applications, it can be overridden as mentioned above, else it will use the default specified on the registrar account. The standard default is registrant management, since this is the management model used prior to the introduction. It can be changed at the registrars convenience

  • The registrar can specify the default renewal model for domain names, it can be overridden as mentioned above, else it will use the default specified on the registrar account. The standard default is auto-renewal, since this is the policy in place prior to the introduction. It can be changed at the registrars convenience

  • Support for removal of DSRECORD ownership, providing a more flexible and transparent model for enabling and disabling DNSSEC and handling DSRECORDs

  • Removal of the DNSSEC switch to enable and disable DNSSEC. This is now handled implicitly by the precence of DSRECORDs, see above

  • The process for changing period for a domain name as billing contact, no longer requires the acknowledgement of the proxy or registrant

  • The ID-control requirement has been cemented in more business procesess, so for a domain name where the registrant has not met ID-control requirements, it is not possible to:

    • Change registrar
    • Change billing
    • Change admin/proxy
    • Restore domain
    • Change registrant (owner change)
